Equipment

  • Large/Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • water
  • Washi Tape
  • Small Jelly Jars

Instructions

  • Place popsicle sticks and water into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Once boiling, turn off heat and let cool. Because wood floats, I carefully set a glass bowl on top of my popsicle sticks to keep them submerged in water and from drying out. Let cool completely. This normally takes about an hour but will vary. Remove from pan and discard water.
  • Begin to shape your sticks by gently bending them in the center. Move to the edges so the wood bends. Place into a small jar, continuing to shape in the jar. I was able to put several sticks into one jar. Let set to dry. This could be overnight or 2 days depending on how humid the environment is that you live in. Just keep an eye on the bracelets when you make them especially the first time.
  • When wood is dry, remove from jars. Time will vary so be sure to check on the bracelets often.
  • Decorate bracelets with washi tape, wrapping the tape around the bracelets.  Wear as desired and enjoy your masterpiece!
