How to Make a Chicken Costume

Cuisine: American
Keyword: How to Make a Chicken Costume
Yield: 1
Author: One Crazy Mom
Cost: 5

Equipment

  • Old White jacket You can also use a white shirt.
  • Feather boas Make sure you have enough to cover the clothes entirely with feathers.
  • Yellow rubber gloves Inexpensive plastic cleaning gloves will work great.
  • Glue I always like to have extra glue sticks for the glue gun. It seems extra is always needed.
  • Rubber bands This will be used to secure the gloves.
  • Leggings or any pants This completes the look and you probably already have this.

Instructions

  • Prepare a jacket. Use an old jacket or get one at the thrift store.
  • Hot glue on white feather boa's to the jacket. The jacket should be entirely covered so all you see is feathers.
  • Make the chicken feet. Stuff some yellow rubber gloves with stuffing or newspaper. Then use rubber bands to secure them to their shoes!
  • Complete the look. Kids can wear black leggings or any type of pants. I also suggest that you find a white shirt to wear under the jacket. Another idea is to wear yellow tights instead of black leggings.

Notes

The cheapest chicken costume I could find on Amazon was over $20. I am sure you could make this for $5 or less. I think it is so cute.
