Equipment

  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • vinegar
  • spray bottle
  • small brush or foam brush
  • rags

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix baking soda and water until a paste forms.
  • Brush onto the oven grime with a foam brush or rag.
  • The mixture should cover but remain on the oven surface. Let set for 4-6 hours until dry. Use a dry rag to rub the dry baking soda mixture off of the oven, rubbing away the grime.
  • Scoop up and brush away the loose and excess baking soda.Add vinegar to a spray bottle and spray the vinegar onto the oven, covering all areas.
  • The remaining baking soda will fizzle and dissolve. Wipe away with a damp cloth.
