Materials

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup citric acid
  • 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
  • A few drops of essential oils optional for fragrance
  • Silicone Ice Cube Trays

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, stir together the baking soda and citric acid.  Continue to mix until all the lumps are out of the mixture.
  • Slowly pour in the vinegar and stir it into this mixture. Make sure to pour this mixture slowly as the combination will bubble up and fizz some.
  • Add any essential oils to the mixture at this time if using. Stir to combine.
  • Pour into the ice cube tray. Let sit overnight or at least 6 hours.
  • Carefully remove from the tray and store in an airtight container or bag until ready to use.
  • When using, place a table in the bowl of the toilet. Let it sit for a few minutes for it to fizz and dissolve.  Scrub the toilet, flush and then it’s clean!

Notes

I love using Thieves or Tea Tree Essentials oil in this toilet cleaner but any of your favorites will work or whatever fragrance you prefer.
